Critical Thinking

In the American College Experience class, we learned what Critical Thinking is.

Critical Thinking consists of four parts.

Analysis- identify the problem

Interpretation- understanding (internal)

Synthesis- understanding (external- combine)

Evaluation- judgement

Though there are several definitions of the word Critical Thinking, all are similarly.

We can analyze, interpret, synthesize, and evaluate using this method.

It's quite easy to follow the format. There are some framework to think creative.

In liberal arts, we need to explain why I agree/disagree with the opinion.

We can use below ways;

  • hypothetical
  • personal
  • real world

When I disagree with other's opinion, I try to use phrases that we learned in the class.
